The Baystate Marathon, Half Marathon and Half Marathon Relay are excited to offer a course preview. This will give registered runners an opportunity to become familiar with the full or half marathon courses prior to race day.  Typically, we have this around mid-September.

Members of the Greater Lowell Road Runners familiar with the courses will be available to guide runners at various paces for both full and half marathons. At signup, you will be asked for your approximate training pace.

The half marathon course run will be about 6.6 miles (single loop) and the full marathon run will be approximately 16 miles (single loop over the Tyngsboro bridge). We understand many runners will want to run additional miles. We can recommend some options for those runners who want to continue after returning to the finish. Water stops will be set up at approximately mile 3 (half and full), mile 8 and 12.5 (full). Porta-potties will be available at the start/finish and mile 8.

Check-in will be located at the GLRR tent adjacent to the George A. Ayotte Parking Garage which is next to the Tsongas Arena.

Note: Take advantage of the pacer's knowledge of the course and the local area by asking plenty of questions along the way!

How to Sign Up:

Registered runners (signed up by August 1) will receive an email about a month before the Course Preview with more details and sign-up instructions.
