MARATHON

Water Stops for the Marathon

Water stops will offer water, lemon-lime Gatorade, and portable toilets.

GU-brand Vanilla Bean gels will be available at mile 7 and mile 17.
The Marathon consists of a double loop course. View it here on Garmin.
The course starts at the Tsongas Center and ends after the second loop back at the Tsongas Center.

The marathon starts at the corner in front of the Tsongas Center (the intersection of Fr. Morissette Boulevard and Arcand Drive). Marathon runners start on the left side of the road (half marathoners start on the right side of the road). The runners go west. along Fr. Morissette Blvd, which turns into Pawtucket Street., which turns into Middlesex Street. The runners go by the Rourke Bridge. At the fifth left, runners turn left onto Brouilette Street (also known as Grosvenor St).
At the end of Brouilette , turn right onto Princeton Street in Chelmsford. At end of Princeton Street, the road turns right and goes through Vinal Square to Middlesex Road. Runners head into Tyngsboro and take a right onto the Tyngsboro Bridge. At end of the bridge, turn right onto Old Pawtucket Blvd. In a short distance this connects with Pawtucket Blvd (Route 113). On the first loop, runners will turn right and cross the Rourke Bridge and take a right back onto Middlesex Street.
Again, runners will take the left onto Brouilette Street. Turn right onto Princeton Street and go through Vinal Square to Middlesex Road. Head into Tyngsboro and take a right onto the Tyngsboro Bridge. At end of bridge, turn right onto Old Pawtucket Blvd and then Route 113.
On the second loop, runners go past the Rourke Bridge and proceed to the Aiken Street Bridge where they turn right. Runners turn left at LeLacheur Park onto Perkins St. Perkins St turns right and becomes Suffolk St. Runners proceed to Fr. Morissette Blvd, where they turn left. They make the short run to Arcand Drive and turn left into the finish area.
Pacers
We have pacers for the marathon course that will be targeting the following finish times: 3:00, 3:10, 3:20, 3:30, 3:40, 3:50, 4:00.

You will find your pacers at the start line in an orange PACER shirt holding the sign with their finish time. Pacers will be running the whole race until the finish line.
​
There are no pacers for the Half Marathon.
HALF MARATHON

The Half Marathon consists of a double loop course. (You can see it here on Garmin.)

The loop starts at the Tsongas Center and ends after the second loop at back at the Tsongas Center.

Half marathon runners start on the right side of the road (full marathoners start on the left side of the road). The runners go west. along Fr. Morissette Blvd, which turns into Pawtucket Street., which turns into Middlesex Street. Runners will take a right onto the Rourke Bridge and take right onto Route 113. At Aiken Street the runners turn right and cross the Aiken Street Bridge. At LeLacheur Park runners turn left onto Perkins Street. At the end of Perkins Street runners turn right onto Suffolk Street.
On the first loop, at the end of Suffolk Street, runners turn right back onto Fr. Morissette Blvd, which changes into Pawtucket Street and then Middlesex Street. Again, the runners will take a right onto Rourke Bridge and a right onto Route 113. At Aiken Street the runners again turn right and cross the bridge. At LeLacheur Park the runners again turn left onto Perkins Street and proceed to the end of Suffolk St.
On the second loop, at the end of Suffolk Street the runners this time turn left onto Fr. Morissette Blvd and make the short run to Arcand Drive where they turn left into the finish area.
HALF MARATHON RELAY
The Baystate Half Marathon Relay will be run on the Baystate Half Marathon course following the exact same route.
There will be 2 legs of approximately 6.6 miles each (exact mileage to be determined). The exchange point is on Suffolk Street, shortly after the water stop at mile 6.6. Both runners will carry a baton, that is passed along at the exchange point.
