LOCATION:

Lowell High School Cafeteria

50 Father Morissette Blvd.

Lowell, MA 01852

DATES:

Friday, Oct. 17, 4:30-7pm

Saturday, Oct. 18, 8am-3 pm

Besides bib pickup, and volunteers to help answer any questions that you may have, some of our sponsors will be present to offer running supplies (such as Baystate merchandise) and related services. â€‹

Note:

There is bib pickup on Race Day, before the race.  Go here for details.

Tips for Bib & Shirt Pick Up

  • Bring your confirmation code (in your registration email) and an ID.

  • You may pick up someone else's bib but you'll need a copy of their ID.

  • We encourage you to come Friday or Saturday for pick up and avoid race day pick up.

Half-marathon relay teams:

  • You'll get your baton when you pick up your bibs.

  • Your baton carries the timing chip for the relay race.  So, make sure each runner finishes with it at the exchange point and the finish line.

  • When the second person finishes, please return to baton to one of our volunteer members.

Expo Parking

For the Expo only on Friday & Saturday, we recommend parking in the Ayotte garage next to the Tsongas Center.

We DO NOT recommend parking at the Ayotte garage on
race day (It is located within the Race Start/Finish Village making access and egress difficult to impossible at times.)

Also on Friday’s & Saturday’s, there is metered parking on the street from 8am to 8pm.  However, there is an enforced two hour limit for street parking.

Also please note the area directly in front of the Expo at Lowell High School is a NO PARKING zone, except for two handicap spots.

OUR MISSION: We pride ourselves on being a race that is “For Runners - By Runners” and have been committed to that brand for over 30 years. Our race is one of the few remaining marathons that is put on 100% by volunteers rather than a for-profit company. Each year, all proceeds from our race are distributed to the local running community in some way. The Greater Lowell Road Runners executes our mission of promoting and encouraging the sport of running. Registration fees from this race enable GLRR to give scholarships to local high school seniors, funding the GLRR Youth Program, providing donations to local high schools who volunteer at our water stops, and partial funding of the benefits that come with a GLRR membership.
